Mandala: Autumn (Pen on Paper, 30.5 X 30.5 cm)

Symmetry, repetition and geometry provided the basic rules or framework for this drawing. The pattern is influenced by the beginning of autumn. The garden is still bright and the leaves are beautiful. But something begins to change. Some leaves change colours and some start falling. Some plants in the garden hold on while others begin to wither away a bit earlier. It’s a period of change. You can see the end of summers and sense the onset of winters. This drawing was an attempt to capture it all and the glory of an ever-changing nature.
